“There’s a bit of the Aussie macho about Worthington – kind of Russell Crowe, before he got famous – as we sit at a table at his Sydney agent’s office.

In jeans, old T-shirt and well-worn Blundstone boots, there’s something refreshingly normal about the man. He doesn’t have the ego associated with being named one of Hollywood’s hottest young faces.”

You can read the full article here

I scoured far and wide to find some pictures of Sam in his Blundstones, and all I could find was an imdb link to the 2000 movie Bootmen where the main characters strap on some Blundstones to create a tap dance troupe.

Eye of the storm
With her fiery voice and smouldering looks, Neko Case has long been the sweetheart of the indie-rock rodeo; now, with her new disc, Middle Cyclone, she has the Top 5 album to make her an overground success.
The first time I interviewed Neko Case, back in January of 2001, the scene was very much what I expected from a Neko Case interview: we sat in the front lounge of the Cameron House, enjoying a steady stream of bourbon shots delivered by servers with whom Case was on a first-name basis.

Interviewing her eight years later, not much has changed about Case: her long red hair is as formidable as ever, and — in her loose-fitting sweater, worn-out jeans and Blundstone boots — she still looks like she’s dressing for a lazy Sunday at the cottage…more

We had an extra special visitor in the store today. His name is Tim Dennis, who calls himself the Rambling Rat.

In June 2008, 34-year-old Tim Dennis from southwest Scotland embarked on an overland expedition around the world to raise funds for Street Kids International.

Tim sold his house last year to fund his RamblingRat expedition, through which he aims to gain further understanding of the basic needs of people.

Throughout his journey, Tim will share the experiences of the local people, cultures and lifestyles he encounters through his website Rambling Rat.

We were more than pleased to help him on his journey by providing him with a pair of Blundstones for his journey. We were going to suggest some Icebreaker Merino for its comfort and ability to be worn many consecutive days in a row, but he was already well kitted out in Icebreaker. This is a fellow who knows what he is doing.

Wore it on the plane. Used it as a blanket on the overnight train trip from Adelaide to Alice Springs. Used it as a pillow for a nap in Sydney’s botanical gardens. But most importantly when I was in the Cradle Mountains in Tasmania,I wore it on a 5 hour hike in the rain and a thunderstorm. I was slightly unprepared, as I hadn’t brought a raincoat on my trip, so knowing it would be raining in Tasmania, I picked up a light ‘waterproof’ raincoat, which after an hour or so in the driving rain, was soaked through. With my Icebreaker Amazon Scoop and Courtney Zip on under my coat, I was still warm, even on a cold rainy day in tassie, and even when they soaked through as well. Still warm even when wet. Nice. Here’s a picture of me layered up with Icebreaker, including their new merino wool bandana, which I loved, even if I did look like AxelRose – andria

p.s. We have a tonne more icebreaker in the stores than we do online. If there’s a piece of Icebreaker that you are looking for, just send us an email to info@australianboot.com.
